Richard Patey, trading as BidPadel, is a self-employed operator. Correspondence address: Bishopbrook House, Cathedral Ave, Wells BA5 1FD, United Kingdom. Email: richard@richardpatey.com. These terms apply to BidPadel’s directory, listing submissions and paid promotion.

Who the board is for

Anyone can browse brands, retailers and specialist suppliers. Paid promotion is offered to people acting for their trade or business, aged 18 or over and authorised to promote the selected business. Club venues themselves are not a listing category. Buying a bid does not verify ownership or grant editing access.

Listings and claims

Listings are free. Provide accurate, lawful information and only submit content or logos you have the right to use. You permit us to display submitted business content to operate and promote the directory. Publicly sourced listings do not imply endorsement or participation. Ownership claims are reviewed separately; contact us to correct information, report impersonation or request removal.

What a paid bid buys

A bid is a one-off payment for increased ranking visibility, not a bet, prize entry or investment. The minimum payment is £10, in whole pounds. There is no subscription or automatic renewal. The amount payable is shown before payment in Stripe Checkout.

Each confirmed payment adds to the business’s cumulative bid total. Higher totals rank first overall and within categories; ties favour the earlier total. £0 listings follow a curated launch order. Today shows businesses with a paid bid made that day in UK time, ordered by their cumulative totals.

We add paid bids automatically after Stripe confirms payment, without waiting for profile review. Confirmation or technical delays can occur. A projected position is not reserved during checkout. Other bids can move you down at any time. We do not guarantee a particular position, number of impressions, clicks, enquiries or sales. Totals remain on the board while the listing and service operate; no fixed advertising duration or permanent service is promised.

Review and removal

We may correct, hide or remove false, unlawful, impersonating or otherwise ineligible listings and investigate suspicious payments. We may retain transaction records for accounting and disputes. Removal does not automatically process a refund; contact us for review. We will consider the reason for removal, promotion delivered and applicable rights fairly.

Payment problems, cancellations and refunds

Promotion begins after payment confirmation. Being outbid alone is not grounds for a refund of correctly delivered promotion. For duplicate charges, unauthorised payments, mistakes or a bid that was not credited, email us promptly with the business name and payment reference. Do not send card details. We will investigate and correct the problem or provide an appropriate refund where due.

These paid services are intended for business purchases. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights where they apply, including cancellation and remedies for services not provided as agreed. Contact us to exercise any applicable cancellation right.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the board accurate and available but interruptions and errors may occur. Listings link to independent businesses; their products, services and transactions are their responsibility. Rankings reflect paid promotion, not quality or endorsement. We remain responsible for obligations and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud and death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes and disputes

We may update these terms for future use and purchases; the terms shown when you pay apply to that purchase. Contact us first about complaints so we can try to resolve them. These terms do not restrict any mandatory rights or access to courts available under applicable law.
